Having graduated from the Vicenza conservatory he decided to devote himself exclusively to jazz and started to perform in concerts with Italian and foreign musicians such as Lee Konitz, Ruud Brink, Scott Hamilton, Buddy De Franco, Art Farmer, Johnny Griffin, Gianni Basso, Hal Stein, Enrico Rava, Gianni Cazzola, Maurizio Caldura, Erwin Vann, Claudio Fasoli, Aldo Romano, Richard Galliano and others.
In 1992 he formed the trio that, with Sandro Gibellini and Mauro Negri, came first at the International Competition entitled Barga Jazz, then recording "FUNNY MEN" Le Parc 1993 and "THE TENDER TRAP" Velut Luna 1997. The following year he joined Emanuele Cisi’s quartet and together they recorded an album entitled "MAY DAY" 1997.
In 1995 he published his first recording under his own name "FAIR PLAY" for Flex Records, in a trio with Marco Micheli and Francesco Sotgiu. In 1997 he worked with composer Carlo Boccadoro on the music for a ballet commissioned by the Scala Theatre in Milan and also started to work with the Austrian flute player Gunther Wehinger on his project called the "European Double Quartet".
In 1998 he recorded a piano solo for Velut Luna, "CAPO D'ASTRO", and in 1999 "VIVO SONHANDO" in a duet with the saxophonist Massimo Salvagnini, dedicated to music by A. C. Jobim.
For many years he has held courses and clinics on piano jazz, improvisation, music for ensembles and is also a teacher at the Siena Jazz Music Seminaries and the Experimental Course in Jazz at the Bologna Conservatory.
