A self-taught guitarist, he was born in Terracina in 1961 and started to play professionally in 1982. He has played with a number of musicians, among them: Area 2, Roberto Gatto’s Noisemaker, Hein Van De Geyn and Aldo Romano, Kenny Wheeler, Emmanuel Bex and Roberto Gatto, Lee Konitz, Steve Grossman, Enrico Rava, Tom Harrell, Jimmy Owens, John Clarke, Lincoln Goines, Kim Plainfield as well as Ernst Rejseger.
He has performed at many International Festivals such as "Umbria Jazz", Ravenna (1991), Milan (1988), Salerno (1990), Palermo (1990/92), Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Lugano, Paris, Singapore, Luxemburg and the Abu Dhabi International Jazz Festival.
In 1987 he toured Japan with the AREA 2 band. He plays on a regular basis with some of the best Italian musicians such as Stefano Cantini, Roberto Gatto, Paolo Fresu, Nicola Stilo and Furio Di Castri, with whom he has recorded a number of CDs ("Greetings from Pozzuoli" with J.J. Avenel, Fresu and Pozzi will be released shortly).
He has also recorded for RADIO 2, the Vatican radio, RAI TV 2, radio Tokyo and Tele +. He has made two teaching videos for Capitalvideo, the same label that produces Gatto, Fiorentino and Moriconi. He holds specialization courses with Danilo Rea, Giovanni Tommaso, Maurizio Giammarco, and Fabrizio Sferra. On May 30th 2000 he won the European Competition for soloist jazz guitarists held by the Orchestre National du Jazz in Paris.
