Biography
Manuela Mandracchia made her debut as an actress in 1984 in a production of Carlo Collodi’s "Pinocchio" directed by M. Francis. She graduated from the "Silvio D’Amico" National Drama Academy in Rome in 1993 and that same year won the "Wanda Capodaglio Award". In 1999 she won the UBU Prize as best young actress for "Tonight We Improvise" by Luigi Pirandello directed by Luca Ronconi and for Thomas Bernhard’s "The Loser" directed by Mauro Avogadro. That same year she also won the Virginia Reiter Prize. In 2003 in addition to the critics’ award she also won the UBU Prize for best supporting role in "Amor nello specchio" directed by L. Ronconi.
Among others she has also studied with V. Skorik, N. Karpov, T. Salmon, A. Arias, A. Vassiliev, Dario Fo, J. Alschitz, Kristin Linklater, and P. Clough.
